Types of Dentures

Immediate

Partial

Partial dentures are a great option for patients with only a few teeth missing. Partial dentures are custom fit to your mouth but also easily removable for cleaning, sleeping and eating. We recommend partial dentures for patients whose mouths may not be able to support more intense treatment, like dental implants or bridges.

Full or Complete

Also known as complete dentures, full dentures replace all of your natural teeth. This can be your full top row, full bottom row, or both. Full dentures are an effective option for patients who want a removable, flexible solution for tooth loss. They’re comfortable, natural-looking and easy to clean.

Caring for Your Dentures

Dentures may need replacing around every five years. Though dentures are low-maintenance, there is a learning curve while you adjust to wearing them. It’s essential to remove your dentures for every meal and thoroughly clean your mouth and the dentures before putting them back in. Before bed, clean your mouth, natural teeth and dentures with a soft toothbrush before placing the dentures in a special denture cleanser each night. Your care technique will depend on the type of denture you have, so be sure to work with your dentist to ensure optimal denture care. It’s also important to visit our office regularly to ensure there are no issues developing with your dentures or natural teeth.
